Government-Funded Childcare Hours – What You Need to Know

We're delighted that the government has expanded funded childcare hours—making quality early education more accessible than ever for families across England.

Current Funding:

✅ All families in England with a 3-4 year old: Up to 15 hours per week (570 hours per year) .

✅ Eligible working families with a child aged 9 months up to school age: Up to 30 hours per week .

Tax-Free Childcare: Extra Savings

You could get:

💰 Up to £500 every 3 months (£2,000 a year) per child to help with childcare costs .

💰 Up to £1,000 every 3 months (£4,000 a year) if your child is disabled .

How It Works:

Set up an online childcare account for your child.

For every £8 you pay in, the government adds £2.

Use the funds to pay your childcare provider.

Example:

If your childcare costs £55 per day, you pay £44, and the government contributes £11.

💡 Bonus: You can use Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30-hour funded childcare if eligible!
